I made it! After an unplanned two-night stopover in Guiyang, I arrived in Zhaoxing this afternoon. The incredible Chunyun experience was a little less exciting than I had anticipated, but a lot more comfortable, which more than made up for it. I don’t want to curse myself for the return journey by boasting about how smoothly it all went when I’m only half-way through, so I’ll stop myself there. Friday Night Lights

According to Mr Raymond Lo, Feng Shui Guru, this year ought to be a good one for monkeys (like me, yay), roosters and oxen, although it might be a little bumpy for us monkeys. His recommendation for avoiding the bumps? Carrying a monkey pendant. No idea what that is, but here’s a picture of some cute monkeys in Qianlingshan Park in Guiyang for you to smooth the way…
