Dear Readers,

Exciting (non-China-related) news! Mr Little Yak and I are getting married later on today, and then heading off on a little honeymoon – to Switzerland, not China – next week to recover. I’m going to take a short break from posting until we return to Hong Kong in mid-August. To those of you waiting for the next report from Xinjiang/recipe/story-of-an-encounter-with-someone-interesting, I apologise.

Over the past few days, several of you have told me that you’ve liked reading my posts – to all of you, thank you! I’m very happy to hear that someone out there enjoys reading my articles, maybe even as much as I enjoy writing them, although I doubt that.
